Dear Members,

The last few days have been devastating for many individuals worldwide who have been directly or indirectly affected by the Russian invasion of Ukraine. RCU Credit Union was founded 60 years ago by Lithuanian people who were forced to leave their homeland, escaping Russian invasion and rule. Many left with nothing from their homeland. The horrors of the current state in Ukraine are difficult for our members to watch as this conjures memories of their life history.

As the world watches the unimaginable events unfold in Ukraine, RCU Credit Union helps those impacted by this awful invasion. RCU Credit Union has donated $10,000.00 to the CUF-UCC UKRAINE HUMANITARIAN APPEAL.

The Canadian Credit Union Association (CCUA) has joined in the effort to support the UCC/Canada-Ukraine Foundation (CUF) humanitarian campaign for Ukraine by appealing to all Canadian credit unions from coast to coast to contribute. We gratefully acknowledge the initiative and lead donation from Smith Falls Credit Union in Ontario. RCU is proud that the CCUA has rallied the Canadian credit union system to support this vital cause.

Members are invited to join the CUF campaign to provide humanitarian support to wounded Ukrainian military personnel and their families.

The world commends the bravery of the people of Ukraine, and we all stand with Ukraine to renounce this tragic event. Our prayers and support go out to the people of Ukraine.
