Mandatory Face Mask Policy - Effective July 7, 2020 Expand/Collapse

Dear Members,

The City of Toronto has enacted By-Law 541-2020 requiring the use of face masks or face coverings which is enforceable as of July 7, 2020. RCU Credit Union is complying with this by-law, and a new protocol has come into effect at our credit union today.

To protect yourself and others, members and visitors are now required to wear a mask or other face-covering while inside our credit union. If you do not have one, we will supply you with one.

Also, we continue to adhere to physical distancing recommendations, and we will continue to limit the number of members who can be within the branch at one time. If capacity is reached, you will be asked to wait outside of the credit union. When inside the branch, we ask that members maintain a proper distance of 2 meters and abide by the floor markings.

Our goal is to continue keeping everyone safe! As we have mentioned before, most banking can be done online or by phone. Always call first at 416-532-3400 or 1-877-525-7285.

Dear Members – ALWAYS CALL FIRST!

We are asking for your help in protecting ALL OF US, including RCU staff. We cannot stress the importance of keeping branch visits to essential banking needs only.

 

Essential banking needs do not include passbook updates, bill payments, sending wires, ordering cheques, depositing cheques, renewing investments, renewing mortgages, changing your address, or setting up internet banking. These can all be taken care of over the phone (416-532-3400 or toll free 1-877-525-7285), by email (rpcul@rpcul.com), or by making use of our night deposit box. If you show up at the branch for any non-essential banking needs, you can be turned away. Please call ahead to set up an appointment for all other services.

 

We are now offering CRA direct deposit enrolment online. You will be able to receive the following CRA payments through direct deposit: the new Canada Emergency Response Benefit, income tax refund, Canada child benefit, goods and services tax/harmonized sales tax (GST/HST) credit, Canada workers benefit and related provincial and territorial payments. Also, we understand that some of our members may be experiencing financial hardship during this time. If you find you are having difficulty in making your RCU mortgage payments, please contact our Credit Department to discuss your options and to determine if you would qualify to defer your mortgage payments.
